That Instagram recipe won't get lost anymore
A TikTok video that makes you hungry, an Instagram post saved in a folder you never reopen, a WhatsApp message from a friend: those recipes deserve a home too, not just family recipe cards. Recapp brings them all into your book the same way, with no manual copy-pasting.
How it works
1. Take a screenshot
Screenshot the post, caption or message that contains the recipe — on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or any other app.
2. Import the screenshot as a photo
Send that screenshot to Recapp through photo import. The AI reads the text visible on screen (caption, subtitles, description) and extracts the ingredients and steps.
3. You review, it's saved
A review screen shows you the result before saving. Adjust a detail if needed, and the recipe joins your library alongside all the others.
Frequently asked questions
Does Recapp import directly from an Instagram or TikTok link?
Not from a video link — Recapp doesn't connect to your Instagram or TikTok account. What works: a screenshot of the post or its caption, imported as a photo. It's just as fast, and it works with any platform, including ones that block automatic extraction.
What if the recipe is only spoken in the video, with no written text?
The AI needs readable text (caption, burned-in subtitles, description). If the recipe is only spoken aloud in the video, import it via voice recording instead: say the recipe out loud, and Recapp transcribes and structures it.
